  1. Santa has been good to us because we haven’t received an ounce of snow this season. Very strange. I guess global warming DOES have its perks 🙂

  2. Most people are too cheap to want to recognize the cost benefits of winterizing their homes. It’s about now..now..now for people and personal gratification from instant movies and popcorn.

  3. Great tip on furnace maintenance because a few winters back ours just went kaput in the dead of winter and we froze our arses off for weeks before the gas guys came out to fix it.

Word of advice to all readers: don’t neglect your furnances!

  4. You’d be amazed how little people understand about proper saving for the winter.

Lowering the thermostat before bed can save thousands over 5 years. I know this because of experience!

  5. Do what i do and just mooch off your friends for the winter and not stay home. Saves a bundle!

  6. I am quite surprised that one experienced a ‘snowpocalypse’. Most around the world are seeing less snow now than years past.

My own daughter has yet to see her first snow fall and only knows snow from pictures and film. And we are Canadian where the world thinks we are drowning in snow all year round — silly Americans!
